About the Region

We are 10 minutes away from Val d'Orcia, a unique place with an amazing landscape that you only can see it here, where many movie are been filming, like The English Patient, La Vita è Bella the Gladiator and most recently Under the Tuscan Sun... Val d'Orcia A UNESCO World Heritage site since 2004, is an exceptional reflection of the way the landscape was rewritten in Renaissance times to ''reflect the ideals of good governance and to create an aesthetically pleasing picture''. Colonization by the merchants of Siena in the 14th and 15th centuries. They aimed to create a landscape of efficient agricultural units but also one that was pleasing to the eye. The landscape that resulted was one of careful and conscious planning and design and led to the beginning of the concept of 'landscape' as a man-made creation. The landscape was thus created to be efficient, functional, equitable and aesthetically pleasing.

But not less important here is the traditional food and wine, The area is home to Brunello di Montalcino, one of the most important red wine in all world...the land of truffle! The fresh pasta Pici, the pecorino due of all the sheeps around the hills... and much more, but you can experience once here :-)

Places to visit near by...

Siena, Pienza, a Pope’s ‘ideal town’, Montalcino, bagno Vignoni 8batural hot spring, Monticchiello a Borgo on a top of a hill where the time stop long time ago...

Other activities, fabulous place for cycling while seeing abandoned (and not) castles, old mines, wonderful hill villages, medieval town, walking in footpaths, hot spring, museums...

about the training

Italy Yin Poster.png

Yin Yoga creates space for slowing down & returning to balance.

While most asana practice embraces the yang nature of effort & movement (like the sun salutation),

yin yoga embodies the complimenting qualities of softness, stillness, receptivity & inward awareness.

In Yin practice, long, grounded stretches help cultivate intuition & encourage surrender, releasing physical & emotional patterns that close us off.

In this teacher training immersion, we will explore the theory, science & anatomy of yin yoga, balanced with experiential & energetic aspects of practice. We will unpack contemporary research on fascia & healthy stretching. Reviewing each classical yin pose, you will learn not only the "how" of instructing it safely but also "why" in understanding the physical, emotional & energetic benefits.  This course will also include an introduction to the principles of TMC (traditional Chinese Medicine), allowing you to design and theme inspired yin yoga and yin/yang yoga classes. We will also incorporate other traditional and therapeutic tools including pranayama, meditation, yoga yang, yoga nidra, restorative yoga and myofascial release. Our myofascial release sessions will share simple self-massage techniques with therapy balls, which will to release constricted tissue & complement & enhance our yin yoga practice.

The training is open to new and experienced teachers, as well as dedicated yoga students who desire to deepen their yin practice.  Graduates will feel competent theming, sequencing and instruct meaningful yin yoga classes. Offering this unique expression of yoga to your students will create diversity within your teaching & support your students (& your own) busy life.
