The Next Chapter

Some news... One year ago today I got on a plane & moved to Scotland. I stepped away from everything that felt comfortable & safe and moved to a country I had never even visited before because it just felt right. And it was. It was probably the bravest & most loving thing I’ve done for myself. The amount of letting go in recent years has been heartbreaking, but has also opened me to receive so much more from life than I ever imagined possible. And truth is... I’m about to do it again. At the start of June I’ll be leaving Scotland for the next adventure. This chapter has been a very special one in my life & I’m so deeply grateful for all the people who supported it. There is a vitality...

There is a vitality, a life force, an energy, a quickening that is translated through you into action, and because there is only one of you in all of time, this expression is unique. And if you block it, it will never exist through any other medium and it will be lost. The world will not have it. The data is collected & graphed on an app before my eyes. Very cool to explore the potential of yogic technologies with modern scientific tools. My connection to yoga was formed by my breath. (Or lack-thereof). I’ve always been asthmatic & grew up experiencing frequent attac

Self Care

Self-care isn’t easy work. Self-realization is incredibly inconvenient. As @yogawithpiper is always reminding me, yoga is a truth seeking practice & the things that aren’t true will inevitably fall away. Sometimes the best way of caring for yourself is saying no. And then take a bath with some roses & crystals. I’m not teaching yoga today. Everyday I work to enforce this message: self-care isn’t selfish. It is filling our own cup so we give our energy forward from abundance, not depletion. Nurturing other beings fills my soul. My work is always based in nourishing & supporting people’s bodies, energy & emotions. And I wouldn’t do anything else with this lifetime... however it’s work that
